Our wraps make a great alternative to plastic cling film/glad wrap. Our beeswax wraps are durable, reusable, food safe, and easy to use. Lotus beeswax wraps will help you to reduce your waste in the home yet still keep food fresh! You can use to wrap, snacks, fruits, cheese, bread, cover bowls, jars…. the list is endless. With our wide range of sizes and shapes you will find a wrap for almost any purpose in the kitchen.
Our extra large size wraps are approx 40x45cm and suitable for a loaf of bread or pumpkin for example. This is a good size to cover large bowls, dishes or plates.
By using one of our Lotus beeswax wraps daily you will save approx 90 meters of glad wrap over 12 months!!
How do I use my food wrap?
It’s super easy…. warm the wrap in between your hands slightly and wrap around your chosen product or bowl and mould the wrap around it. It will mould and hold in place. When your wrap needs cleaning you can wipe it down with a cool damp cloth or was in a mild detergent in cool water and hang to dry.
How long will my food wrap last?
When cared for correctly your Lotus beeswax wrap should last at least 6-12 months. You can also recoat your wrap yearly and by doing so this means you will get years of use out of your beeswax wrap. I mean why waste a perfectly good wrap right? when all it needs a little TLC and recoating.
What do I do with my food wrap when they reach the end of their lifespan?
There are a few options to consider when your wrap is getting near the end of its lifespan. You can
A) compost your beeswax wrap
B) you can purchase one of our kit’s to recoat your wraps
C) you can send your wraps back to us for us to recoat for you. The charges for this will vary depending on the size and how many.
